Cassie is the managing director of GritCycle, a spinning studio with four locations throughout Southern California. She's been in the fitness industry for 25 years, and only recently took a step back from working as an instructor to focus on her oversight role.
 
What's your daily diet like?
I have Hashimotos Thyroiditis and Rheumatoid Arthritis. A few years ago, I kicked gluten, sugar, and most dairy to the curb. Not only did this cut down on the symptoms of the diseases that I have, my skin cleared up, my stomachaches went away, and my moods stabilized. I've also been a vegetarian for 25 years.

Do you have a favorite workout?
Pilates is my boyfriend. Indoor Cycling is my lover. Running is my soulmate. Lifting weights is my best friend.

What's your superfood?
Guacamole.

What are your top health and wellness goals for 2019? Any advice for others trying to set some of their own?
I just turned 50...I know!!! I've worked hard to age gracefully. 2019's theme is to keep it "High and Tight." My advice when trying to achieve any fitness goal is to have a friend be your accountability partner.
